3M™ Ribbon Cable Wiremount Socket 1.27 mm (0.050") Pitch 451 Series allows for much higher connection density in less board space. This 1.27 mm/.050" socket helps increase design flexibility – its small size makes for many more ribbon cable connections per board and less cost per assembly. Unlike many other connectors the header features a true half-size board footprint, so it integrates easily into designs using the industry standard .100 in. for sockets and headers. Friction latch configurations are available for increased protection against accidental disconnects when using a box header.

Designed for versatility as well as space savings when used with 3M ribbon cable, 3M™ Ribbon Cable Wiremount Socket 1.27 mm (0.050") Pitch 451 Series is a robust connector in a small package. It features a 0.050” pitch socket body in multiple position counts, along with a cover and optional strain relief. Center polarization is available. Optional friction latches reduce overall connection time and help prevent accidental disconnection. The 3M socket 451 series uses IDC connection to mass terminate flat flex cable in end as well as feed-through termination.
